Dr Tabane Moagi

MBChB (Natal), FCS (Ortho) SA

Dr Tabane Moagi is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon in private practice in Rustenburg. He qualified MBChB at Natal and holds the FCS (Ortho) SA fellowship, and has run this practice since 2002.

He treats problems of the hip, knee and shoulder, injuries from sport, and fractures and other trauma. Where a joint is worn out, that may mean joint replacement (arthroplasty); often it does not, and the answer is treatment without surgery.

Dr Moagi is certified by AMIS for anterior minimally invasive surgery in hip replacement, and the practice is a National Reference Centre for AMIS, where other surgeons are trained in the technique. He is also an Independent Examiner qualified through ABIME.
